On today’s BRING IT IN TrueHoop’s Jarod Hector and David Thorpe discuss: The Draymond Green assault video that has now been seen by everyone. Does this change anything? Jarod and David ultimately agree but differ on a few things. This isn’t how you want to begin a title defense. Where do the Warriors go from here? David thinks Steph Curry’s leadership is needed now more than ever.
I appreciate your take. This aggression within teams and in the locker room is no longer acceptable work place behaviour. Plus this culture leaks down to all levels including minors.
I also wanted to chime in after I heard Kerr today. It may appear that Draymond did not get enough punishment, but Kerr describes intense discussions between Draymond, teammates, coaches and upper management. This means Draymond heard how his actions impacted his team and each member of his team. This is restorative justice which works better than punishment when it comes to changing behaviour.
I suspect Kerr and Steph know this process intuitively. I also suspect you know this too.
