Going all the way to Elam ending, rather than just adopting the timeout rules of European leagues, seems like an overreact to me. There are issues that Elam brings, like the end of buzzer beaters, and blowout games not giving time to the end of bench players, etc. I don't think it's as cut and dry as Tom makes it out to be.
