Eli Black did not "buy" United Fruit. He was "assigned" as CEO of United Fruit. Years earlier, in 1954, at Lehman Brothers where he got his start at age 33, he was hired by one of their clients, namely, American Seal-Kap Company (which made the caps used on milk bottles) as their new Chairman and CEO. United Fruit, after what I believe was Eli's 1973 murder (not suicide) is when other board members (again with connections to intelligence) such as Carl Lindner (who fronted for Max Fisher) swooped in. United Fruit, it must be made known, was a co-founder of today's CIA.

Pretty sure he was asked none of these questions. Apparently, they didn't put him under oath either.
