Travis "Ten-Spot" Moran.

Fun discussion to read. David's comment about Travis talking to some "really stupid people" cracked me up.

Are we sure Luka's only been drinking since he was 4? Must've been a late bloomer. Maybe LeBron will turn him into a wine guy.

Henry, when you made the comments about the elephants, I could hear your cackle in my head. Unrelated, I was at the Sixers/Mavs game Tues, Kyrie sure wasn't moving like someone with a, bulging disk. And I say that as a person that had 2 in his 20s. If the Mavs stay healthy, they'll win Travis's bet, even with The Lakers trade for Williams. But if the Lakers stay healthy, it'll be close. Regardless, we're gonna get TREMENDOUS basketball down the stretch!

Great conversation, really enjoyed it, and I’d take that bet. I don’t think any one mentioned Kyrie Irving and his BULGING DISC.

That was fun! But surprised that nobody brought up the point about the Lakers not following AD's and LeBron's call for help now and instead betting on the future. A big reason Travis's bet makes sense is that the Lakers have a gaping hole inside now. I get that the discussion takes that point for granted--and it's implicit in David's "get back to me after the deadline"--but I'd say that the more interesting bet would be "Mavs finish ahead of Lakers this year and next."

David, I'm sure, has more knowledge about how the Luka--JJ relationship is likely to play out, but I'd be interested to hear speculation about LeBron's role in that. If the JJ-LeBron relationship stays healthy, would that influence the Luka-JJ relationship, given that LeBron and Luka like and respect each other?

This was not only light-hearted, fun, and enjoyable, it was actually thoughtful and enlightening!

Thanks for making me smile on a day that is otherwise really awful.

Mavs Fan!

"From what David just told us, Luka wants control over the team in that he wants teammates to be oriented to his success—something he doesn’t articulate very much."

Can you tell more about this?
