Great conversation, fellas. This is what Jarod and I were talking about yesterday on BASKETBALLWEATHER, and appreciate Henry's insight here. The NBA really does have a storytelling deficiency, which I think makes them vulnerable to future league competitors. I've never been to All Star, but from the way yur talking about it, it sounds like it's kinda missing the mark. There's so many incredible storytelling opportunities, and as of yet, the NBA doesn't seem to want to lean into them... The 'Trade Deadline Show' I suggested is just one idea, I have no idea what the resistance is to thinking outside the box, the solutions themselves are kinda simple. Is the resistance as simple as fear? Fear of losing what worked 25 years ago? It's been a good run but would love to see the minds of smart storytellers let loose on the product. Like an NBA labs kinds thing. Let's go!
Very enjoyable, as always. The giddiness over the Blazers might have been the highlight, although I wish Robert Williams III had gotten a mention. Pair him with Clingan and send Ayton packing!
Henry has OKC as 55% favorites to win it all. Check out the Celtics road record, though.
